Mount Falcon Estate
Mount Falcon Estate, located between Ballina and Foxford on the banks of The River Moy, in County Mayo, is currently a 100 acre estate which is surrounded by a mature forest. It consists of a 1876 Victorian Gothic style Manor House ( now with a modern extension, which is divided by glass atriums ) with original tilling, pitch pine woodwork, marble fireplaces, servants bells etc.
This James Franklin Fuller designed ( Grade A listed building ) lodge was originally the most modern house in Ireland, when built, as it boasted 2 “ thinking rooms “ ( letter writing rooms ! ) and had piped water from the only water tower that Fuller ever designed. This water was pumped from the 3 acre on site lake which today boasts rainbow trout.
The River Moy is adjacent to the estate with access to boats mid way through the 2 mile private fisheries. Clay pigeon shooting grounds and archery area are also located riverside.
Currently the estate also boasts 45 self catering units in 3 separate clusters each with a unique selling point : The Woodlands, The Lakeside and The Courtyard.
Our Falconry is also available with a selection of birds of Prey including Hawks, Falcons and owls.
