FILM ARTIST IN RESIDENCE (SCREENWRITER)

Applications are invited from film artists of distinction for the above role, jointly funded by the Arts Council and University College Cork, in association with the Cork Film Festival.
The Film Artist in Residence is designed to provide a screenwriter with a unique opportunity to develop his/ her practice in a university environment while offering students the opportunity to engage with a practising artist in a meaningful way during the course of their studies.
The appointment of Film Artist in Residence is for one year and the successful applicant will be paid a fee of €20,000. S/he will offer five contact hours per week in the form of screenwriting workshops, lectures and individual student consultations over two semesters, and will enjoy uninterrupted time to advance his/her own work during the university vacations. The Cork Film Festival will host a dedicated public event with the Film Artist in Residence at the festival in November 2015.
Please apply by letter or email outlining your suitability for the role, on or by 1st May, including a C.V. with details of screenwriting experience. Applicants must have a screenwriting credit on a feature film that has been produced.
