A Japanese Composers workshop with renowned artist Hiroaki Yokoyama - 31st March
Film Mayo and Culture Works are delighted to present a Japanese composers workshop which will take place with artist Hiroaki (Hiro) Yokoyama on Friday the 31st of March from 10am to 12pm in the Lannagh Suite of the Lesiure Complex at Lough Lannagh, Castlebar, Co. Mayo. This is a free and in person event.

Hiro will deliver a workshop on his varied music practice and career focusing on composing, arranging, film music, pop music, electronic music and stage music. He will discuss specific methods he has used for arranging.
Hiroaki Yokoyama studied commercial and film music at the composition department of the Tokyo College of Music. While at University, he toured with various artists and produced, composed and arranged music. He has made field recordings in various countries and specialises in using field-recorded material and fusing it with music pieces. Hiroaki wrote the theme song for the Japanese animation Pokémon film. Yuki is the singer of the song and Hiroaki participated in the composition of the song.
